Long overdue update.

Life has been busy in this household....here's an update.

early June: We put our house on the market in anticipation of moving closer to our families. The market has been slow, so we thought we'd get ahead of the game and hope for a great job offer for Chad.

early July: Chad interviews for two great positions. C, C and I enjoy the State fair with my sister, Laura, and her family.

late July: Chad received two job offers within 24 hours for the two jobs he interviewed for. Both are great offers, but one provides much greater growth potential. Plus, it would be 3-4 hours away from both of our families. Much better than the 6-8 hour distance we were currently living at.

Chad accepts one of the job offers and puts in his notice at work. Relief at last.

Early August: We plan for temporary living in a house/duplex/apartment. We hope to receive an offer on our house sooner rather than later, but are planning for the worst, hoping for the best.

August 15, 2008: We celebrate a one year birthday bash for C&C. Well, a bash of the four of us. Plus other small celebrations as family and friends visit.

Early September: We load up the u-haul (an adventure in itself) and head north-west. We signed a temporary lease on a duplex site unseen. Risky, but fortunately it worked out to be a clean and tolerable temporary home.

September 15th: Chad starts his new job. We also receive a house offer this week. Not a great offer, but an offer none-the-less. We counter offer and the buy accepts.

We've been looking for homes in our new area and have narrowed it down. Hopefully we will be putting an offer on a house later today, with hopes to move in November (or sooner).

I'll try to update at least once a week, if not more often.....

later, Jennie

Glad things are going well for you and your family. Sounds like you have all been really busy, but it's great for you to be closer to your families.
