Food, toy or both?

I gave C&C little boxes of raisins today. They had so much fun with the box, first getting the raisins out, then putting food back into the box. Connor was even chewing on the box a bit. I have a small bag of these. I think they would be great for on the go snacks. At home, I may just use small Tupperware containers that I have.

And this makes it all worth the sleepless nights, headaches, lack of caffeine, bad skin...........

These sweet, tender moments. They happen quite frequently, thank goodness.

These two love each other.
Love their dad.
Love their mom.

Life is good.

I don't think I'm proud of this new talent....

They learned this today. Fortunately, no one fell off the table. Well, today, at least. I believe they used the pink bin to crawl up onto the table. That's what I get for being 8 feet away in the kitchen making supper. And what a yummy supper it was!

Sharing our latest talents.

Chloe has taken a liking for PBS TV shows.
Here she is laying on her belly, watching some crazy PBS show.

TOUCHDOWN!
Connor, for the longest time, would not do "so big".
He did catch on to "touchdown" nicely, though.
Comes in handy during football games!
Chloe is showing her skill nicely, with Mr. Hops in her hand.

Sorry...this one is sideways.
But, Mr Connor gets up and down from the chair quite nicely, as you can see.

PEEK-A-BOO!
Connor usually covers up his eyes, or his mouth, or part of his face.
Chloe usually just covers up part of her face with the back of her hand.

Show me your belly?
Chloe usually takes both thumbs and points to her belly.
Connor will take one thumb.
He wasn't doing it for me today.

Sorry about the red eyes...I did not have a chance yet to fix that.

First meal of macaroni and cheese.

Nice, ommpa-loompa hair, courtesy of lots of yellow cheese added to my hair while eating. Actually, putting food on her head is a new eating joy of hers!

Halloween snack mix.

It's addicting...but so yummy. I've made it with peanuts before, but switched it to pretzel Goldfish this time.

1 bag m&m's
1 bag candy corn, flavor of your choice
1 bag pretzel Goldfish

Pour all into a bowl. Mix and enjoy.

The ratio may need to be tweeked a bit. I like to eat with one piece of each in my mouth at a time and found this could probably be made with two bags of goldfish.

I'm making lasagna for supper. It smells yummy already and it's not even in the oven.

I have LOTS of pictures to share, hopefully tonight.

Jennie

up and down and up and down

video

Fun stuff happening in our house. Not only can C&C climb up the stairs, but yesterday they both climbed down the stairs! No more 40+ pounds loads to carry up and down the stairs!

And, we are using eating utensils more often with meals. They are thrilled and so happy to be using them. I'm not brave enough to give them complete control of the food, but help them dip their spork into the food to enjoy.

Our offer was accepted on a house and should be final today. All we need is to have a successful closing on our house in Indiana. We should be in the new house the week before Thanksgiving. Looking forward to spending the holidays in our new home!

C&C

These two crack me up. Even though they are still dealing with colds, they find joy in simple things like crawling into a basket of clean clothes.

Their new word? Banana. Actually, it's more like "na-na-na". the monkeys shared two at breakfast, one at lunch and another two at dinner yesterday! I need to buy another bunch today after lunch. And, Connor is signing "all done", and even "more" if he's not done. He could eat until he bursts, but have to love his appetite! Chloe just starts to scream and throw food on the floor when she is done (I guess she's going to make up her own sign language.....).

They are getting closer and closer to standing on their own. Chloe has been squatting with her hands on the floor...so I'm guessing, as I predicted, that she will stand first. We'll see.

Connor had eight teeth, Chloe still has her two bottom teeth.....crooked, at that!

Both light up when Chad gets home from work. They crawl to play with him. It's a joy that they are thrilled to see him, and it' gives me a little break!
