selective eating.

n
"dropped" peaches...not a big hit.

Notice how clean their trays are?????

A new meal time trend has started.......C&C have started to be selective with what they eat.

It started with Cheerios....they would pick out the "better" snacks in the mix and leave the Cheerios.

Then they would slowly drop Cheerios on the floor (nothing to see here, we're not doing anything mom.....). Like the evidence on the floor didn't give them away!

Now.....they are dropping everything on the floor when they are done.....could they not use the sign for "all done"?

Nope, they'd rather drop the food on the floor and let me clean it up before I release them from the high chair.

Why must I clean it up before I release them???

Because they like to crawl under the high chair to eat any remains that happened to drop.

Chloe's new word? oh-um when she "drops" something.....

Eleven months old.

Connor

Chloe, she was a bit cranky....

Except when she was trying to get me. Look at her two teeth!

Connor sporting a new bump on his head. Look at his teeth!

Playing with a piece of the verticle bind thingy.....
Can you believe that I actually took C&C's eleven month photos the day AFTER they turned eleven months old? I usually am not that quick to take them, but their moods were good and the light even better, so here you go! I just looked at these photos in progression from start....it's a bit funny watching how the cord from my camera distracts them enough to sit still and to watch it go from Connor to Chloe then back to Connor!

like our parents used to do......

Mealtimes have gotten progressively messier as C&C are self feeding more finger foods. Rather than try to keep them neat and clean, I've started stripping them down to their diapers and letting them go to town with their finger foods.

It's much easier than trying to keep things neat! So, I've been giving them sink baths on nights they get food EVERYWHERE.

If it's good enough for their mom and dad when they were little, it's good enough for them!

goofy kids

keep me laughing and partially sane.

Yesterday, Chloe licked my nose and tried to stick her tongue between my lips...her first French kiss. EWWW! But how can you not love her.

Later that day, Connor licked/sucked on my chin.

These two LOVE each other and may just be working on their own language. They can often be found playing together with the blinds, an empty box or some other non-toy "toy".

They are eleven months old today. We have many things to be thankful for, but most of all, for two healthy kids. The year has been a blur, but fortunately I've taken many pictures to help me fill in the blanks caused by too many sleepless nights!
