Names according to Andrea, Ella and Anna.

I tell you, these girls are very creative. I hate to break their heart by not using these names.....but even Julio the Cat turns his nose up at them!

Andrea's choices: Geraldo and Hilde

Ella's choices: Slomo and Sloma, or is it SlowMo and SlowMa?

Anna's choices: Bud and Buddie.

I've also received some other very creative baby name suggestions. Please don't take offense if we do not use these names.......just yell one of these names out and feel how I feel if we were to use some of them. It has to sound good even when yelled!

Things are going well for us. I'm still tired...but expect it. Some work days are good, others are not so good. I will discuss work limitations with my doctor when I see her in just over a week. While I can still wear a pair of my pre-pregnancy baggy jeans, I can tell I'm changing shape. I can feel my uterine fundus right at my belly button. I can tell a difference in my stomach capacity and find myself full from eating sooner than before. I guess this is where small, frequent meals comes in handy, huh?

I've found some garage sale bargains. It's nice when you can find baby clothes that are gently worn with no stains for $1 or less a piece. Honestly, are my babies going to care? I regret not purchasing a crib at a garage sale. It was white, looked new and $50 with the mattress. I wouldn't want the mattress, but even with just the crib, that was a great deal. I'll have to keep my eyes out other bargains.

The weather has been beautiful! The windows are all open and the fresh air feels so good.

Chad's brother, Dennis, spent the night with us last night. He was in town for a rowing event and joined us for a nice visit. Hopefully next time he'll bring the rest of the family!

I'm sure you are dissapointed to not have a scary belly shot to view....I did take one a couple days ago, but honestly could not see a difference in belly size. I thought it would be best not to burn any more retinas....I do plan to add the pictures to my scrapbook so I can relive the wonderful days of the growing belly. Don't fret, I'll share more belly shots later......

Name suggestions......

So, my nieces Anna, Ella and Andrea are having their name suggestions for the babies videotaped for our entertainment. The first suggestion is pretty clever! I'll share the names when they are viewed by us.
Do you have any name suggestions? I'd love to hear them!

Home from the hospital....

I had a bit of a scare Wednesday morning. I had a slight amount of spotting. After calling the OB's office, they asked me to head to the hospital to be checked out. Of course, this would happen when Chad is out of down for work....luckily he was able to fly home early and join me in the hospital Wednesday night. Luckily, the babies are great, both right around their gestational age, with no further bleeding issues. They were worried my cervix was incompetent and they were questioning the need for a cervical cerclage. Luckily it's nice and long, and just need to watch the Braxton Hicks contractions. We even found out what we are having! One boy and one girl! We are very excited, but most of all, want healthy babies. We both hope that this is the last scare until at least 34 weeks when the babies are ready to make their entrance into the world!

OB appointment.

I had the first appointment with the new OB today. Love her already! She explained her plan of care and answered any and all questions. Made up for the fact that I got in thirty minutes past my appointment time.

If for some reason, I'm still holding on to the babies at 37 weeks, she will induce before week 38. Mom's are much happier, and babies seem to do well. 37 weeks is the first week of September.

The nurse attempted to find two heartbeats by Doppler for at least five minutes without success. We headed over to the ultrasound machine and found the babies right next to each other, almost on top of each other! It was too funny. She couldn't tell for sure if they were head-to-head or head-to-feet. It was neat to see both heartbeats at the same time, right next to each other! These two sure like each other. You could hardly tell they were separated by their amniotic sacs.

I will need a level two ultrasound within the next two weeks. We will be able to find out the sex of the babies at this appointment, along with measurements of vital organs, bones, etc. Should be an exciting appointment for both Chad and myself. Not sure when this appointment is yet, but will hopefully find out soon.

My next OB appointment will be May 1st.

Multiples sale find......

Missy and I headed out to the multiples sale last night. I had no expectations, but was sort of dissapointed at the amount of baby clothes. I guess if I knew the sex of the babies, it would have been different. I managed to leave spending only $8. I found a changing table pad, infant bath tub, sign language book, and some changing table pads. Nothing major, but still things we will need.
I hope to make it to Target today or tomorrow to register for a few things. Not sure which day would be better.......but want to get a few things listed and get started.
It's supposed to snow today...ick! Hope spring arrives soon.

I'm developing a dunlop....

You know...dun lop over the belt...or in my case, over the waistband of my stretchy pants......

17 weeks

15 weeks

Now, I don't see much of a difference in my belly over the past few weeks, but I definately feel bigger! And the babies are very active. In fact, one is pouncing on my right side as I type! It's a great feeling, even though I'm tired, dealing with aches in my back, right side, shoulder and neck. It's definately worth it, or at least I plan for it to be worth it!

I see the new OB on Monday. I'm excited to meet her and find out her plan of care for us. Hopefully we will schedule the big ultrasound to figure out the sex of the babies!

I picked up a maternity belt Tuesday after work. It was a very long day......and I needed a slow moving vehicle triangle on my butt. I was asked several times during the day if I was ok. Other than discomfort I was doing fine. I forgot to wear the belt to work yesterday (I blame this and any other forgetfulness on pregnancy brain!) but wore it today and it seems to help some. I ended up wearing it over my scrubs, as the elastic is itchy and pinches a bit.

I'm heading to a moms of multiples sale on Friday with a friend who has triplets. Her boys are 4 years old, so we won't be fighting for the same items! Not sure what I'm looking for.....so will plan as I find stuff!

16 week belly shot.

I don't see much change this week....but thought I put my stretch marks out there for everyone to envy. Come on, admit it, you are so jealous of the stretch marks!
I actually had a dream last week that I had huge bruises on my lower belly and actually had a deep skin tear on the right side of my belly. Not a good dream at all!
I'm entered the emotional phase of pregnancy. I cried at Oprah this past Thursday, during American Idol, and was teary at work......not fun! I took a nice, warm bubble bath last night. That may become a regular occurence before bed. It felt so good!
Sending early Easter wishes to all my blog readers. Chad's brother, Rob, his wife and daughter are heading down for the weekend. They will be here later this afternoon. We'll have the big meal Saturday around 5pm, after the boys get in 18 holes of golf. Hopefully the weather will at least be in the 40's so they don't entirely freeze!

busting out......

Yesterday morning I wore a pair of jeans to work. I use a small hair band to give a little extra button room. When I changed out of my scrubs as the end of the day to put my jeans back on....I had a little trouble. Apparently the little peanuts expanded during the day! One pair of normal sized jeans out of the way....I can still wear a second pair of jeans, but probably not much longer! Looks like I'll be living the life of an elastic waist, stretchy pants growning baby mama!
